Friday Photos: Our Favorite Photobloggers
Have we mentioned that we love images? Ok, maybe once or twice, but here we go again.
While we're a big fan of all images, from sketches to paintings to computer graphics, nothing compares to a really good photograph. There are a few photo blogs we like to visit every couple days just to see the newest in their collection. Here are some of their best:

Friday Photos: A Week of Heat
We started out this week with a record-breaking heat wave, and even though the temperatures have gone down, the heat is still a hot topic - the Miami Heat.
That's a lot of heat for one week.
After sweating for three days straight and then being disappointed by LeBron, we're a little tired of hearing about heat. So lets think cool thoughts for the weekend, starting with some ice cold photos:
Do you feel cooler now? Studies show that looking at photos of something cold can actually make you feel colder.
Ok, I made that up, but it could be true!
So look up some photos of Antarctica this weekend, and you'll be on your way to a cooler you! Happy Friday!

Friday Photos: iPhone 4
Several ISMers got the iPhone 4 this week, while the rest of us have spent our time gazing admiringly over our desks at these lucky few.
One feature they've all been gushing about is the new and improved camera. The iPhone 3 had a three megapixel camera with no flash, but the new iPhone actually has two cameras - a VGA camera on the front for video chatting and a five megapixel camera on the back with LED flash and 5x digital zoom. According to Engadget's review of the iPhone 4, the camera also has better photon-collecting capabilities, which lets in more light, resulting in better photos.
Engadget posted some photos they took with the iPhone, and they all came out beautiful. Two of the photos below are Engadget's iPhone 4 photos, and one is from a Nikon Coolpix digital camera. Can you guess which is which?
Ok, Engadget's watermarks makes it pretty easy to pick out the iPhone photos, but without those marks, it would be a tough call. The clarity of all three photos is very similar.
Do you have the iPhone4? Take some photos and post them on our Facebook page so we can see them!

Friday Photos: Irene’s Baked Goods
We love Irene. Irene is our CTO Ray's wife, and she is an incredible baker. She's always whipping up something delicious for office birthdays, celebrations, or just because. So today's Friday Photos is dedicated to Irene's baked goods. Beware: If you're not hungry now, you will be when you scroll down.
Since today is Walkabout NYC, an open house for New York City-based startups, Irene made some treats for everyone who visits us here at ISM HQ. Today we're even luckier because Irene's sister Vivian baked too, and even Ray himself! I can't wait until people start coming by at noon so I can start nibbling, because these cookies and brownies look mouthwateringly awesome.
Stop by our office (740 Broadway) anytime between 12pm and 7pm today to get some of these yummy desserts and to check out our new space. And don't forget about our Startup Kickball Tournament later tonight!

Friday Photos: Changing the World Edition
It's hard to deny the visceral power that images have. The most iconic photography of the last century -- the return-from-war kiss, Muhammad Ali towering over his KO'd competitor, and a thousand other images -- are so well-known because they communicate intense emotion and inspire an emotional response in the viewer in return.
Jonathan Klein, the co-founder and CEO of Getty Images, delivered a TED talk recently about the power of images. As Klein argues, photography can do more than evoke emotions: photography can change the world.
The examples of powerful photography that Klein uses are those that alert the broader international community to human rights offenses, such as in the Abu Ghraib prison, or to the suffering of a population as in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
As Klein argues, images have so much power because they inspire people to make change:
"When we are confronted with a powerful image, we all have a choice. We can look away, or we can address the image... Images often push us to question our core beliefs and our responsibilities to each other."
When we look at some of the publishers that use ISM's technology, we see that they understand and have harnessed the power of the image, which leads us to our Friday Photos feature. Two of our publishers, Design You Trust and AdPunch, have recently featured creative and effective anti-smoking campaigns that, like Klein says, push us to question our beliefs and change the way we look at the world.
First up, AdPunch recently published a feature "25 Ads You Should See Before You Light Up a Cigarette," and we've included some of the most interesting and evocative.

Friday Photos!
At Image Space Media HQ we're busy getting ready for South by Southwest!
The office has been buzzing with excitement for our launch and show stopping (in-my-humble-opinion) trade show booth. If you are attending, don't be a stranger! Say hi, grab some grub (hot dogs and veggie frito pies, anyone?) and some Shiner Bock beer. If that's not enough to tempt you, we will also have a photobooth with funky costumes on the premise!
Check out our awesome staffers get ready for SXSW Interactive!
This time next week we will be in sunny Austin and live blogging from SXSW Interactive! Stay tuned for more updates!

First Edition of Friday Photos!
At Image Space Media we're all about the power of a good image. We're in the business of engaging people in images, after all.
We figured, however, that it was time to back up our words with evidence. Thus, Friday Photos was born. Every Friday we'll be featuring photos from our team, for many reasons. First, to showcase some photographic talent. Secondly, to show you how awesome the Image Space Media team is.
Our first edition of Friday Photos will probably be the most exotic. Our CEO/resident adventurer Jesse Chenard just returned from a 10-day trip, fulfilling his childhood goal of hiking Mount Kilimanjaro! AWESOME. Let's see the world through Jesse's eyes:
MEANWHILE, back in dreary New York, we had our own fun that involved no hiking, beautiful vistas, or exercise. But we have fun, nonetheless! Take a little peek into ISM Headquarters:
