  1. I would like to be the first to comment/congratulate you on being chosen as PUBLISHER OF THE WEEK!! His professionalism and calm demeanor that I expierenced, tell me that hard work and kindness go hand in hand. For this achievement and many more to come, I say God bless you, for being you.

  2. congratulation comes all the way long from Vienna/Austria!! well done! keep on moving 4ward like this!

  5. Obvious is just ok. Its biggest flaw (in my opinion) is the stale photography. For one 90% of it is done by the Owner Jerris Madison. They have a perfect opportunity to showcase cutting edge and talented photographers, but don’t. Maybe they don’t have the budget for it (which is hard to believe with an internet overhead, and all the advertising they print), or they don’t have open submission policies… both of which are travesties.

In a sea of over-processed, posh/glam, magazines, Obvious sets it self firmly in the middle with the rest of them. Unless they find a niche that will set them apart from the pack, once they go to print, they’ll founder in the bog of mediocrity.

Editors… put away your pride…hire some new talent, and keep that Jerris character away from the camera.

  6. Its focus is broad: U.S. and international news, the best opinion columns from here and abroad, health and science, books, film, the arts, leisure activities.
